Tankless G3P600 against the tank SmartFlow

The G3P600 has no storage tank; Waterdrop's page says it needs one electrical outlet and a drain line nearby, and rates it at 600 GPD with a 2:1 pure-to-drain ratio. The SmartFlow stores water in a 3.2-gallon holding tank, and Aquasana gives 51.4 gpd of membrane production and an operating pressure of 40 to 80 psi.

Aquasana says the SmartFlow is WQA tested and certified to NSF/ANSI 42, 53 (includes P473), 58, 401 and CSA B483.1. Waterdrop says IAPMO R&T certified the G3P600 against NSF/ANSI 58 for the claims on its Performance Data Sheet, and IAPMO R&T's directory lists the WD-G3P600 under NSF/ANSI 42, 53, 58 and 372.

Under the sink and for the whole house

Waterdrop's TSA is a 3-stage under-counter filter rated 1 gallon per minute, with NSF/ANSI 42 and 372 on its spec. Aquasana says the Claryum 3-Stage is WQA tested and certified to NSF/ANSI 42, 53 (includes P473) and 401.

For the whole house, Waterdrop's WHF3T-PG is rated 15 GPM and lists NSF/ANSI 372 only, for lead-free materials. Aquasana rates the Rhino for 1,000,000 gallons or 10 years and gives it a 10-Year Limited Warranty.

Warranty, guarantee and returns

Aquasana gives the SmartFlow a 2-Year Limited Warranty and a 90-Day Satisfaction Guarantee, and its returns page allows 90 calendar days from the day the order is placed, with return shipping on the buyer. Waterdrop shows a 1-year warranty on the G3P600. Waterdrop's service policy allows returns within 30 days of receipt for orders in the continental United States; you pay return shipping unless the return is for a quality issue, and items not returned in like-new condition carry a 10% restocking fee.
