What is Waterdrop? The water filter brand, its systems and its store

What is Waterdrop: the short answer

Waterdrop is a water filter brand with its own online store for US shoppers, priced in US dollars. It sells reverse osmosis (RO) systems for under the sink and the countertop, under-sink and whole-house filters, and pitchers. There are no plans, no free trial, no free tier and no money-back guarantee; the return policy below is the safety net. The G3P600 tankless RO system, for example, is $539.00 as read on October 14, 2026.

The five Waterdrop system families

• Tankless RO under the sink has no storage tank, uses a pump and needs power. Waterdrop says it is designed for DIY installation.
• Countertop RO is a unit you fill and plug in, with no plumbing. A renter in a city apartment starts here: Waterdrop's C1S page says no installation is needed.
• Direct Connect and TSA filters go under the sink with no RO membrane. Direct Connect sits on the cold line and needs no drain line.
• Whole-house filters connect at the main water line; Waterdrop says no plumber is needed for the WHF3T-PG.
• Pitchers include the 5-cup PT-05 Elfin.

Who makes Waterdrop filters and who certifies them

NSF's listing for the Waterdrop name names Qingdao Ecopure Filter Co., Ltd. as the maker of the cartridges, faucet filters and pitchers it lists, and IAPMO R&T's directory returns 15 records for the brand name, all listed to that company. Waterdrop's return policy names Ecolife Technologies, Inc. as the company that receives returns.

Waterdrop's RO product pages name IAPMO R&T, a certification body, as the certifier. NSF's listing shows no Waterdrop RO, under-sink or whole-house system. See is Waterdrop legit for the company facts and the listings.

How buying from Waterdrop works

This site quotes the store price, not the limited-time sale figures the store sometimes shows. Klarna offers 4 interest-free payments, and Truemed takes HSA or FSA funds at checkout. Subscribe & Save on replacement filters is a discount that Waterdrop states as 5%. Waterdrop's free shipping method, Economy, takes 4-8 business days.

Returns run 30 days from receipt, with return shipping paid by you unless the return is for a quality issue. Orders from Amazon fall outside the policy.

When another brand fits better

• Culligan sells through local dealers after a free water consultation, and its pages print no price.
• Brita sells pitchers, dispensers and faucet filters only. Its Denali pitcher with the Original filter is $22.99, against $24.99 for Waterdrop's PT-05; nothing goes under the sink.
• AquaTru sells countertop RO with a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee; its Carafe is $375.00.
