What Waterdrop's cards say about lead

Waterdrop's cards say "Remove 99% of Lead" on the X12, G3P800, G3P600 and K6, while the K6 is certified only to NSF/ANSI 372, which covers lead-free materials rather than lead reduction. IAPMO R&T's directory names lead as an NSF/ANSI 58 reduction claim for the WD-G3P600 and WD-G3P800; its NSF/ANSI 58 rows for the WD-X12 and WD-X16 name TDS only.

Waterdrop's NSF page says NSF/ANSI 53 and 58 call for at least a 96.7% lead reduction in testing, while NSF/ANSI 372 only caps the lead content of the materials at 0.25% weighted average.

Prices and what each model needs

As read on October 14, 2026, the G3P600 was $539.00 and the G3P800 $999.00, one-time prices with filters extra. Both are tankless RO systems under the sink: Waterdrop's G3P600 page says it needs one electrical outlet and a drain line nearby.

The K6, $799.00, is an RO system with an instant hot water dispenser; its page names IAPMO R&T as the certifier for NSF/ANSI 372 only, for low lead.

Start from your water report or a lab test

Your utility's Consumer Confidence Report, due each year by July 1, lists the regulated contaminants found in its water; if you did not get one, EPA's CCR search tool can find it. The report also gives a phone number for questions.

For a private well, EPA advises testing every year for coliform bacteria, nitrates, total dissolved solids and pH, through a laboratory certified for drinking water. EPA says a local health department may test a well for free. Use the report or the lab result, not a product card, to decide whether lead is on your list.

Filters, warranty and returns

Waterdrop rates the G3P600's carbon block at up to 12 months or 1,100 gallons and its RO filter at up to 24 months or 2,200 gallons, and shows a 1-year warranty on both systems. Waterdrop's service policy allows returns within 30 days of receipt for orders in the continental United States; you pay return shipping unless the return is for a quality issue, and items not returned in like-new condition carry a 10% restocking fee.
