Waterdrop says its G3P800 reduces PFOA and PFOS by 99% and ties the claim to its own lab reports and the Performance Data Sheet, while EPA advises looking for certification under NSF/ANSI 53 or NSF/ANSI 58 for PFAS reduction. IAPMO R&T's directory lists the WD-G3P600 and WD-G3P800 under NSF/ANSI 53 with the reduction claim PFOA/PFOS, on the carbon block both use, and prints no percentage.

Which Waterdrop models the listing names

As read on October 14, 2026, the G3P600 was $539.00 and the G3P800 $999.00, one-time prices with filters extra, and IAPMO R&T's NSF/ANSI 53 certificate lists both for PFOA/PFOS. The X12 and X16 pages name PFOA and PFOS among reduced substances, but the directory's NSF/ANSI 58 rows for both name only TDS, and neither is in the NSF/ANSI 53 certificate.

What EPA says about PFAS and home filters

EPA's enforceable limit for PFOA and PFOS in drinking water is 4.0 parts per trillion, set in its final rule of April 10, 2024. On May 18, 2026, EPA announced two proposed PFAS rules for public comment, one of which upholds the PFOA and PFOS limits.

EPA found that the GAC, ion-exchange and RO point-of-use systems it studied can greatly reduce PFAS levels, and says filter certifications do not yet indicate removal down to the levels it set for a drinking water standard. It names CSA Group, IAPMO R&T and NSF as the certification bodies whose listings to check.

Check your water, then the listing

Your utility's Consumer Confidence Report, due each year by July 1, lists the regulated contaminants found in its water; if you did not get one, EPA's CCR search tool can find it. For a private well, EPA advises testing every year for coliform bacteria, nitrates, total dissolved solids and pH, through a laboratory certified for drinking water.

Then match the model: for PFOA and PFOS, the G3P600 and G3P800 carry a listed NSF/ANSI 53 claim and the X12 and X16 do not. That claim sits on the carbon block, which Waterdrop rates at up to 12 months or 1,100 gallons.
